I am generally a fan of Foster & Partners work, they seem to very academic and research based in their approach and this is something that I respect. However I am not entirely convinced by their contribution to the 2010 Shanghai Expo. The nod to the sand dunes of the UAE, the country that this has be made for is a little obvious and the aesthetics are questionable to say the least. There have also been some fairly strong reactions on archi blogs although most are supporting the eco aspects of the building. Can't wait to see what the international reaction will be!
